Why do religions experience persecution?

Asked by unmand singh in Puja & Rituals at   6:43 PM on February 02, 2009

Ashish Yadav's Answer

Religions were usually closely associated to whim and fancy of the affluent and influential persons in the society. Religion gave politicians and the rich individuals the tools to control their workers and servants. Crafty individuals cleverly exploited the ultimate human fear of death. Their objective was achieved by creating an abstract concept of Heaven and Hell so that they could induce their workers to maintain loyalty and obedience through the fear of sin and death.
They used natural acts of nature to authenticate their ingenuous fabrication. They convinced the gullible workers that these natural disasters were demonstrations of God's wrath upon them for their various misgivings from time to time. A typical example of such a fabrication was the mythological story of Noah's Ark and the great flood.

When a competing religion threatens the economic control of another then persecution is used to destroy the competition. Religious persecution has more to do with wealth, power and greed, than it has to do with righteousness and piety.

What is Laylat-ul-Isra about?

Asked by unmand singh in Puja & Rituals at   6:42 PM on February 02, 2009

Ashish Yadav's Answer

Cannot answer "What is Laylat-ul-Isra" but have the meaning of Surat Al-Isra if this is what you mean.

Surat Al-Isra (Arabic:) (ie The Night Journey) -- also called the Bani Isra'il (ie Children of Israel) surah -- is the 17th sura of the Qur'an, with 111 verses.

This Surah takes its name from the first verse, which tells the story of the Isra and Mi'raj, the transportation of Muhammad during the night to what is referred to as "the farthest Mosque". The exact location is not specified, although in Islamic Hadith this is commonly taken to be the Noble Sanctuary (Temple Mount) in Jerusalem. Some scholars disagree about this (see Isra and Mi'raj). While the city of Jerusalem (or al Quds) is not mentioned by name anywhere in the Qur'an, it is identified in various Hadith.

This Meccan surah was revealed in the last year before the Hijra. Like all the Meccan surah it stresses the oneness of Allah, the authority of the prophets. However, the primary theme of the Surah is salah (daily prayers), whose number is said to have been fixed at five during the Miraj which it alludes to. In addition, the Surah forbids adultery, calls for respect for father and mother, and calls for patience and control in the face of the persecutions the Muslim community was facing at the time.

Will God permanently curse a person to doom when you have been made to get drunk in the Church of God by your friends?

Asked by unmand singh in Puja & Rituals at   6:42 PM on February 02, 2009

Ashish Yadav's Answer

no one can make you drink to get drunk. God is faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins (stupid mistakes) if we confess and repent. also, He tells us to go and sin no more.

Right up until the moment of our death we are able to avoid the deserved consequences of any sin committed during our life... not that you should use that as an excuse to willingly sin. God is patient and does not want anyone to perish. Accepting responsibility for our part in it is a key to moving forward.

Acknowledge what you did wrong, and be sorry for it and you'll be right. Just learn for next time. Get some real friends who will stand by you rather than do that to you.
