I want to write story for a bollywood film?Hw can i do it?To whom i should contact?

Asked by ashish in Movies at   4:46 PM on April 29, 2008

Gurpreet's Answer

Well Nice to know Ashish that you want to write Film story. That too in Bollywood.
But not to discourage you , you have chosen a pretty difficult profession.
You need to work pretty hard for it friend.
Entering Bollywood is near to impossible for a normal human being who does not have ant reference.
You need plenty of luck to enter Bollywood.
The best you can do it to contact someone who is close to some Bollywood producer.
They can help you out to present your story to producers.
If you are really talented enough , you will definitely get chance to work for Bollywood.
Other option for you is that go to Mumbai and contact some Bollywood Producers / Directors.
I hope if you work really hard you will achieve what you want.
Best of luck.

these days no art movies are made what do you think.

Asked by rajesh goyl in Movies at   9:17 AM on April 29, 2008

Gurpreet's Answer

Think about ur question once again. Its not like that. Today also bollywood is producing serious type of movies.... We have movies like Tare Zameen Par.
The difference is only- that nowadays films are made according to the demand of people- with a touch of comedy, littile bit suspense & songs.
Mr. Alok Gupta gave u the correct answer. Its unfair to divide movies in categories as- Art & simply entertainment. When we say 'art movies'- It includes the word art & each film needs some art....
Think about the movie Lage Raho Munnabhai--- We can't say it a art movie & we can't also call it a passtime movie. Then what can we call it. Its a fusion of a comedy, suspense and emotional movie.
Today people need total entertainment, so totally serious movies cannot make a good business.....
