i can tell you in ahmedabad: cost of 512 Mb is Rs 450; for 1gb is 800(unbranded) and Rs 900(Transcend company ie branded)

Why won't my computer complete a Defrag or ScanDisk?

install a 3rd party defraggler. Search for the name in popular websites; download its full version in Rapidshare and run it.

i suggest you to shift to major cities like bombay, ahmedabad, chennai, delhi, chandigarh which are renowned for coaching centres of CA, CS. You should do that for your career. Direct coaching is 1000 times better than postal ones

Your os in cmd screen is showing up as NT you were under the assumption you had XP how do you fix this you did just uninstall IPv6 due to a tunneling malfunctio

the windows NT may not have been properly unistalled; ie there are 2 OS in ur desktop (if xp is also installed)

Backup ur imp data from the drive where you install OS; then initiate a fresh installation of Windows XP(SP3 version of XP is the latest ).

make sure that
a) you have the proper hardware config
b) in ur computer both NT and XP had been installed in the same drive.
if not delete the folder contatining win NT ands begin new installation of XP.
