i am 28 week pregnant.i applied 2times volitra gel to mom when she has back pain.in prescription of drug it should't used by pregnant.will it effect on my baby

Asked by Lalitha in Pregnancy at   2:45 PM on September 29, 2008

Dr.Aniruddha's Answer

Hi lalitha,

I dont think that will affect the baby now since all its organs are already developed. Also volitra is a topical nonsteroidal preparation...So it wont reach the baby.

But instead of applying Volitra gel you can do few yoga exercises which will give tremendous relief and also help in delivery process.

My periods come only once every 6 weeks. Could this be a reason for my infertility ?

Asked by savitri in Pregnancy at   11:15 PM on October 03, 2008

Dr.Aniruddha's Answer

Hi Savitri,

This maybe the cause of infertility. You will have to do an ultrasonography study called "Follicular Study" to find out if there is ovulation occuring or not.

Usually delayed & irregular cycles are anovulatory cycles meaning that there is no ovulation occuring in these cycles which causes infertility.
