When facing problems how do you stay strong?

Asked by Vijay Kayal in Psychological Help at   11:35 AM on July 02, 2008

C. Densingh's Answer

It is human nature to be buoyant when things go well and feel forlorn when things go wrong. One should remember that successes and failures are part of life and one should take them in one's stride.

By mistake I got more payment (+ 1 lakh) ; should I refund it ?

Asked by ddbb2 in Self Development at   6:51 PM on June 26, 2008

C. Densingh's Answer

Hitting the jackpot unexpectedly and collecting a windfall may be one person's joy but it will indeed be another person's misery. A man with a clear conscience will refund it for sure if excess payment is made. This good action will definitely pay dividends in the future.

what is the right way to start a friendship?

Asked by Ramakant in Spirituality & Faith at   12:24 AM on June 26, 2008

C. Densingh's Answer

Friendship is a cordial meeting of minds at the same level of understanding. It is rooted in an easy give and take policy in which everyone is equal. Open-hearted appreciation of one's plus points and asking for suggestions and opinions will definitely forge friendship between two persons.

My friend is in real pain after loosing her mom,do you know anyone who can help her connect to mum's spirit for once, will really heal her as she blames herself

Asked by manoj b in Spirituality & Faith at   3:35 PM on June 26, 2008

C. Densingh's Answer

Death is universal and inevitable. But the loss of one's dear ones causes immense pain. Contacting a departed soul through medium is a possibility and there are people who are adept at the job. Ask your friend to go through R.K. Narayan's 'The English Teacher'. Though it is a fictional work, the part that deals with Narayan's attempts to contact the soul of his dead wife is purely autobiographical.

Many Indian saints in old age have said ,it is possible to see God.How many of u blve in this?

Asked by Vivek Anand in Spirituality & Faith at   1:04 PM on June 06, 2008

C. Densingh's Answer

Religion is a matter of faith. Faith works wonders. There are people who have seen God. Seeing God does not mean seeing something with one's physical eyes. It is indeed a spiritual experience felt by the pious and the focussed. Some may scoff at the idea of seeing God and the associated spiritual bliss. But many do believe that it is a blissful experience undergone by saints who have the capability to sense the presence of God.

My wife complains that i dont talk to her cheerfully. she developed some pain in right side and she blame me that i am responsible. i am tomuch engaged in work

Asked by Subramanian in Psychological Help at   10:19 AM on June 14, 2008

C. Densingh's Answer

A man like you absorbed in your work cannot keep everyone around you in good cheer all the time. However, you have to spare some moments to inquire about the well-being of your near and dear ones. Once your close ones feel neglected, they will naturally put the blame on you for whatever wrong happens to them. Familiarity may breed contempt but it is our duty to see that everyone around us is happy.

Asked by mins m in Psychological Help at   8:43 PM on June 27, 2008

C. Densingh's Answer

We are all gifted with one thing or the other. There is no point in feeling dejected. Successful people fine-tune their skills in what they are really interested in and shine in life. Being a jack of all trades will land us nowhere. It is very important to excel in what you like instinctively. You know definitely what you are really interested in. Hone the skills in that trade tenaciously. Whatever it is, be focussed on mastering it and going to the top. Your patience and perseverance will prove your worth and bring out the best from you.

Most of the time I fear that suddenly I will loss all of my friends , my social circle, and whatever other things I have . Can you tell me it's reason?

Asked by Mr. BONDHU in Psychological Help at   11:38 AM on June 21, 2008

C. Densingh's Answer

Your fear is rooted in the feeling of insecurity you have developed over a period of time. Unpleasant experiences and unexpected turns and twists in life might have made you feel so. Remember, life is not a bed of roses. There are occasions when persons you have reposed your faith on turn against you. Take heart, such people are only a minuscule minority. Good faith in people and your good nature will definitely help you feel secure all the time.

Asked by sneha kapoor in Psychological Help at   9:31 PM on June 19, 2008

C. Densingh's Answer

The harsh truth is that memory wanes with aging. However, healthy living improves one's memory. Solving cross-word puzzles and learning short passages by heart do improve one's memory.
