a very good question shruti , but a blue screen errors are of different type . and different reasons and different solutions .
like blue screen 0x0000ed unmountable boot volume ....
how to fix blue screen errors....
try all the following steps .
1.power on the computer and kepp pressing f8 key when u press the power button and try boot to last known configuration
2.restart your computer in safe mode and try system restore to earlier date
3. go to BIOS and confirm that hdd has been enabled and on priority for booting ...
4.now get a windows CD -
try booting from cd if it is not booting from the cd then your motherboard has gone bad
and if it boots from the cd ,let it boot the setup . and after that select the option that say press 'r' to repair windows then press 1 to select the window ...
after that ...on black screen . type a command which is ' chkdsk /r ' it will take about 35 minutes .....and when it finishes type exit and hit enter ....
5. if that does not work ... boot again from cd ... when u get the menu again ...but this time hit enter ....,,, it will scan the windows on the hdd and if it is repairable then it will give u the option again ...go for repairing it again ......it will take 35 minutes more ....
6. if that does not work .... the problem can be the windows have gone bad ... boot from cd ... and reinstall the windows on the computer ...
7. IF that does not work ... there is some hardware problem . take out the cd-drive from your computer and boot with the cd drive out and disconnected from computer ... if that does not work ,,, hdd has gone bad .. and if that works the cd-drive has gone bad or not seated well ... try reseating it ....
there cannot be any bluescreen error that cannot be fixed by this , if there is google it and plz do let me know as well
