to remove dark circles of ees what should do?

Asked by Vikas Kumar in Beauty and fashion at   2:46 PM on September 26, 2008

Amit Suri's Answer

hi vikas...

Drinking Lots of Water
This will help avoid the problem of having dark circles, as one of the main causes of dark circles under eyes is dehydration. Water retention (the body holding on to fluids, making the body look bloated) will cause swelling under the eyes.
Get Plenty of Sleep
As the skin has self-healing properties and regulates fluids and transfers them to areas where they are needed itself, getting enough sleep is all important. At least 7-8 hours a night is recommended to remove dark circles under eyes.
A Healthy Diet
Plenty or proteins, fish and fresh fruit and vegetables (vitamin C and iron) and cutting salt out of your diet will help you look and feel a lot better. Salt dehydrates and vitamins and proteins will help keep the skin firm and looking healthy. Drinking lots of water every day will moisturise your skin from the inside of your body.

Stop Smoking
Smoking damages the skin and destroys certain vitamins in the body (especially vitamin C, needed to re-build skin cells). De-hydrating the skin, especially when combined with a regular intake of coffee and other high-caffeine drinks will make dark circles worse. To remove dark circles under eyes it is absolutely crucial to take good care of your health and that includes quitting with smoking.

How to reduce Double chin?

Asked by vineeta in Beauty & Fashion at   3:38 PM on October 06, 2008

Amit Suri's Answer

hi vineeta..

Doing some facial or more specifically neck or chin exercises might reduce your double chin. Here are a few easy to do exercises:

Press your palm to your forehead for 10 seconds while resisting with your head and neck. You should feel your neck and chin tighten. Repeat the movement with your hand on the back of your head, then on each side, with your hand cupped over your ear.

Lift your chin up and open and close your mouth as if you're chewing. Feel the muscles under your jaw and down the front of your neck tighten.

Sit up straight in an armless chair, holding the bottom of the chair with your hands at your sides, tilt your head back and alternately close your mouth pushing your chin forward and them open your mouth as wide as you can.

Lift chin slightly upward. With flat point of index and middle fingers press against indentation (hollow) formed by the two upper nodules of the larynx located at the curve from chin to neck. Do not be concerned in the beginning as to the precise location of pressure which you will discover through practice. Regard finger pressure as the resistance against the working muscles. Now press your back teeth firmly together and while maintaining this position, press the tip of your tongue against the inside of lower front teeth (gum line) increasing pressure with the tip of tongue in 10 or more gradual and definite steps (Count to 10). Hold end position of pressure for 6 seconds (count slowly to six). Release muscle work for 10 gradual steps (count to 10). Remove finger resistance. Repeat 4 more times.

Slap under the chin with the back of your hand. When slapping, start gently and build up speed gradually. Do this for a couple of minutes each time, two or three times a day.

Exercise the muscle called the platysma whose function is to pull down the corners of the mouth and pull down the jawbone. Open your mouth wide, and then pull up your bottom lip over your bottom teeth. Move your jaw up and down as if you're trying to scoop something up with it - imagine the movement of the shovel on a digger scooping up earth or debris on a building site. Perform ten repetitions of this exercise each time, and again do this two or three times a day.

1.Why do we add small amount of curd in milk to make curd 2. Why do we add lime juice to milk to get cheese 3. Why does water boil fast in a covered pan

Asked by Benakappa in Homework at   2:56 PM on October 06, 2008

Amit Suri's Answer

hi Benakappa....

1. Milk contains a protein called casein. This protein gives milk its characteristic white colour. It is of high nutritional value because it contains all the essential amino acids required by man's body. The curd forms because of the chemical reaction between lactic acid bacteria and casein. When curd is added to milk, the lactic acid bacteria present in it cause coagulation of casein and thus convert it into curd.

2.The only strictly required step in making any sort of cheese is separating the milk into solid curds and liquid whey. Usually this is done by acidifying (souring) the milk and adding rennet. The acidification is accomplished directly by the addition of an acid like vinegar in a few cases (paneer, queso fresco), but usually starter bacteria are employed instead. These starter bacteria convert milk sugars into lactic acid. The same bacteria (and the enzymes they produce) also play a large role in the eventual flavor of aged cheeses. Most cheeses are made with starter bacteria from the Lactococci, Lactobacilli, or Streptococci families. Swiss starter cultures also include Propionibacter shermani, which produces carbon dioxide gas bubbles during aging, giving Swiss cheese or Emmental its holes.

3. Does your head stay warmer when you have a hat on? Mothers everywhere have been telling us for years that 40% to 99% of body heat (the actual number varies depending on which mother is talking) is lost through the head when we don't wear our hats in cold weather. (Perhaps you weren't listening.) But it works just the same with cooking. Without a lid, more of the heat that you're applying at the bottom of the pot escapes at the top. With a lid, the heat collects more quickly, raising the temperature and getting to a faster boil.

Those brave individuals who grill outdoors through the cold winter months have learned this lesson. They are generally obliged to close the lids on their grills in order to collect enough heat to cook their food — even though the steaminess caused by the closed lid is a hindrance to great grilling. But do they wear their hats while grilling? We think you can guess the answer.

Asked by Tanu Jain in Personal Health at   3:06 PM on October 06, 2008

Amit Suri's Answer

hi Tanu..

1. Fenugreek
Fenugreek is a powerful anti-blackhead herb. To cure your blackheads crush some fenugreek leaves and make a paste with water. Apply this on the affected area, say face, for about 10 minutes. And rise with lukewarm water. This will curtail blackhead growth. For clear skin, free from blackheads, apply this paste every night before bed.

2. Coriander Leaves
This is another easy to apply night pack for blackheads. Apply a mix of 1 teaspoon of coriander leaves juice and half teaspoon of turmeric powder before going to bed. And next morning, wash it with the cold water. Not only your blackheads will be reduced but your skin complexion will also be improved.

3. Curd
Mix 1 teaspoon of curd and rice flour to make a paste. Apply it on the blackhead affected area. And wash your face with cold water.

4. Honey
Honey is really good for your skin. If you apply warm honey on the affected area and wash it after 10 minutes, you will benefit a lot. Honey will act as a natural peel to your blackhead affected skin. Besides, removing blackheads, it will also improve your skin.

what is true love

Asked by chetan in Love & Romance at   11:59 AM on October 03, 2008

Amit Suri's Answer

hi Chetan...

Well i have never been i love before but can tell u what i feel

True love means understanding. One trusts another more than him/herself and feels ready to satisfy every little need of a partner. Two people don’t stop for a second looking into each other eyes. .

It’s said that two persons truly in love aren’t looking at each other but in the one direction. And this is rather reasonable because they don’t say nothing “this is yours and this is mine” and share everything: friends, enemies, interests, problems and etc. One has his/her own identity but sees him/herself only as a part of the other. Still real love is not a relationship of property. If you really love someone you may say “I belong you” but always be ready to let go if it makes the person you love happy.

We should remember that very many things we need to supply our healthy and comfortable living but only the true feeling of love makes life really longer and happier. And this is scientifically proved.

What is Appendicitis? Is there any cure by alternative treatment?

Asked by Tingtong S in Alternative Medicine at   1:52 PM on October 06, 2008

Amit Suri's Answer

hi Tingtong S...

Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix. Once it starts, there is no effective medical therapy, so appendicitis is considered a medical emergency. When treated promptly, most patients recover without difficulty. If treatment is delayed, the appendix can burst, causing infection and even death. Appendicitis is the most common acute surgical emergency of the abdomen. Anyone can get appendicitis, but it occurs most often between the ages of 10 and 30.

Treatment.

Surgery
Acute appendicitis is treated by surgery to remove the appendix. The operation may be performed through a standard small incision in the right lower part of the abdomen, or it may be performed using a laparoscope, which requires three to four smaller incisions. If other conditions are suspected in addition to appendicitis, they may be identified using laparoscopy. In some patients, laparoscopy is preferable to open surgery because the incision is smaller, recovery time is quicker, and less pain medication is required. The appendix is almost always removed, even if it is found to be normal. With complete removal, any later episodes of pain will not be attributed to appendicitis.

Recovery from appendectomy takes a few weeks. Doctors usually prescribe pain medication and ask patients to limit physical activity. Recovery from laparoscopic appendectomy is generally faster, but limiting strenuous activity may still be necessary for 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. Most people treated for appendicitis recover excellently and rarely need to make any changes in their diet, exercise, or lifestyle.

Antibiotics and Other Treatments
If the diagnosis is uncertain, people may be watched and sometimes treated with antibiotics. This approach is taken when the doctor suspects that the patient's symptoms may have a nonsurgical or medically treatable cause. If the cause of the pain is infectious, symptoms resolve with intravenous antibiotics and intravenous fluids. In general, however, appendicitis cannot be treated with antibiotics alone and will require surgery.

Occasionally the body is able to control an appendiceal perforation by forming an abscess. An abscess occurs when an infection is walled off in one part of the body. The doctor may choose to drain the abscess and leave the drain in the abscess cavity for several weeks. An appendectomy may be scheduled after the abscess is drained
