Well, The best cities for software field is Bangalore and Hyderabad . followed by Pune, Chennai , Noida and Gurgaon.

My suggestion would be to prepare yourself well in the platforms / softwares you know. Try to improve your communication skill too.

Register yourself with detailed resume in popular job sites like Naukri, Monster or Timesjob.

Try to be in contact with persons who are working on MNCs . There are fresher requirement in many companies. They also provide training to Freshers.

If you are interested in networking, my first suggestion would be to do some good professional networking course.

The best one is CCNA and CCNP.

CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate ): The Cisco CCNA network associate certification validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. This new curriculum includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills. This new curriculum also includes (but is not limited to) the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2),VLANs, Ethernet, access control lists (ACLs)

The CCNP certification (Cisco Certified Network Professional) indicates advanced knowledge of networks. With a CCNP, a network professional can install, configure, and troubleshoot local and wide area networks for enterprise organizations with networks from 100 to more than 500 nodes.

For more information, Please visit the source site:

After completion of your course , again register yourself with detailed resume in popular job sites like Naukri, Monster or Timesjob.

Hopefully You would succeed doing it.

What is reason behind the automatic shutting down of computer?

Asked Anonymously in Computers & Technology at   5:42 PM on April 20, 2009

alokgupta14's Answer

One of the things that is quite different about Windows XP compared to Windows 9x (9x is shorthand for Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows Me in all their various versions), is that one can control how it responds to certain critical errors—those that cause the infamous Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). In Windows XP, the default setting is for the computer to reboot automatically when a fatal error occurs. If that fatal error only occurs when you're shutting down, the system reboots automatically.

If you haven't changed any of the system failure settings, you should be able to see the error by looking in the Event Log. But a better long-term solution is to turn off the automatic reboot so you can actually see the error when it happens—chances are it will tell you enough about itself to let you troubleshoot further. To change the recovery settings to disable automatic rebooting:

1.

Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.

2.

Click the Advanced tab.

3.

Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings to open the Startup and Recovery dialog box.

4.

Clear the Automatically restart check box, and click OK the necessary number of times.

5.

Restart your computer for the settings to take effect.

Now when you go to shut down and a fatal error occurs, you'll at least see it and it won't cause an automatic reboot. You still have to sort out what's causing the problem, but that gets us to the next section quite nicely.

What is Internet Firewall? Find Internet Firewall by browsing the Internet. List the browsed URLs and the information associated with them?

Asked by vinod pednek in Computers & Technology at   3:52 PM on April 19, 2009

alokgupta14's Answer

A firewall is simply a program or hardware device that filters the information coming through the Internet connection into your private network or computer system. If an incoming packet of information is flagged by the filters, it is not allowed through.

If you have read the article How Web Servers Work, then you know a good bit about how data moves on the Internet, and you can easily see how a firewall helps protect computers inside a large company. Let's say that you work at a company with 500 employees. The company will therefore have hundreds of computers that all have network cards connecting them together. In addition, the company will have one or more connections to the Internet through something like T1 or T3 lines. Without a firewall in place, all of those hundreds of computers are directly accessible to anyone on the Internet. A person who knows what he or she is doing can probe those computers, try to make FTP connections to them, try to make telnet connections to them and so on. If one employee makes a mistake and leaves a security hole, hackers can get to the machine and exploit the hole.

With a firewall in place, the landscape is much different. A company will place a firewall at every connection to the Internet (for example, at every T1 line coming into the company). The firewall can implement security rules. For example, one of the security rules inside the company might be:

Out of the 500 computers inside this company, only one of them is permitted to receive public FTP traffic. Allow FTP connections only to that one computer and prevent them on all others.

A company can set up rules like this for FTP servers, Web servers, Telnet servers and so on. In addition, the company can control how employees connect to Web sites, whether files are allowed to leave the company over the network and so on. A firewall gives a company tremendous control over how people use the network.

Firewalls use one or more of three methods to control traffic flowing in and out of the network:

* Packet filtering - Packets (small chunks of data) are analyzed against a set of filters. Packets that make it through the filters are sent to the requesting system and all others are discarded.
* Proxy service - Information from the Internet is retrieved by the firewall and then sent to the requesting system and vice versa.
* Stateful inspection - A newer method that doesn't examine the contents of each packet but instead compares certain key parts of the packet to a database of trusted information. Information traveling from inside the firewall to the outside is monitored for specific defining characteristics, then incoming information is compared to these characteristics. If the comparison yields a reasonable match, the information is allowed through. Otherwise it is discarded.

How do i scan a doument and then edit it?

Asked Anonymously in Computers & Technology at   12:04 PM on April 19, 2009

alokgupta14's Answer

Scanners have become an important part of the home office over the last few years. Scanner technology is everywhere and used in many ways:

* Flatbed scanners, also called desktop scanners, are the most versatile and commonly used scanners. In fact, this article will focus on the technology as it relates to flatbed scanners.
* Sheet-fed scanners are similar to flatbed scanners except the document is moved and the scan head is immobile. A sheet-fed scanner looks a lot like a small portable printer.
* Handheld scanners use the same basic technology as a flatbed scanner, but rely on the user to move them instead of a motorized belt. This type of scanner typically does not provide good image quality. However, it can be useful for quickly capturing text.
* Drum scanners are used by the publishing industry to capture incredibly detailed images. They use a technology called a photomultiplier tube (PMT). In PMT, the document to be scanned is mounted on a glass cylinder. At the center of the cylinder is a sensor that splits light bounced from the document into three beams. Each beam is sent through a color filter into a photomultiplier tube where the light is changed into an electrical signal.

What do u mean by abstraction class and abstraction method in java language?

Asked by preeti chaur in Computers & Technology at   5:36 PM on April 20, 2009

alokgupta14's Answer

An abstract class is a class that is declared abstract—it may or may not include abstract methods. Abstract classes cannot be instantiated, but they can be subclassed.

An abstract method is a method that is declared without an implementation (without braces, and followed by a semicolon), like this:

abstract void moveTo(double deltaX, double deltaY);

If a class includes abstract methods, the class itself must be declared abstract, as in:

public abstract class GraphicObject {
// declare fields
// declare non-abstract methods
abstract void draw();
}

When an abstract class is subclassed, the subclass usually provides implementations for all of the abstract methods in its parent class. However, if it does not, the subclass must also be declared abstract. [

By declaring a method and a class abstract, we make it explicit that the user of our classes must override the method and must never instantiate the Shape class

In the above case, we can redefine our Shape class and the getArea() method as abstract as shown here:

abstract class Shape {
abstract int getArea();
}

Note that if any method is declared abstract, the class must be declared abstract as well or the compiler will give an error message.

An abstract class can include concrete methods and fields. In fact, an abstract class does not need to include any abstract methods. The abstract modifier simply indicates that the class cannot be instantiated.

Note that an abstract method has no code body, no braces {}.

All of the abstract methods must be overridden by methods in the concrete subclasses.
