Dear friend, Of course, there are several ways to look taller. But first of wall, you have to remember few things: Never ever wear clothes with horizontal stripes. This is the biggest fashion crime a short person can commit. Wear things with vertical stripes - the optical illusion they create will at the same time enlighten your figure; you will not become taller, though you will look like having a couple of inches more from the distance. Wear V-neck jumpers, cardigans, tops and dresses; they will give an impression of your neck being longer at the same time making your posture slimmer. Dark boot cut trousers make your legs look longer, if you match them with high heels; you are going to be extra 7-8 cm taller; another good idea for shorter people is pinstripe bottoms or whole suits. Do not wear long shirts or tunics. They cover your legs and make them look shorter while your figure seems stodgy and heavy. Try to wear well fitted clothes and avoid big, bulky, over-sized ones; avoid wardrobe that will make you disappear under the layers, always go for the outfits that accentuate your figure. Avoid long skirts or 3/4 ones; mini or above the knee skirts and dresses combined with mid-heel or high-heel shoes will help you appear taller than you really are. Avoid capris; as with skirts and dresses, never choose lengths that will optically shorten your legs. Remember that to look seemingly taller it's what you look with your under waist areas matters the most. Wear your hair in a high ponytail or bun; go for a hair style that will slim your face, long straight hair or a hairdo that uncovers your neck. Avoid heavy platforms; they make people notice the fact that you are wearing high-heel shoes, go rather for sexy, minimalistic high-heels. To sum up, no matter how much you want it, you can't magically gain a few inches. However, there are lots of small tricks that will help you appear taller. Apart from the above hints, pay attention to your posture. Develop the habit of holding your head high, no matter what situation you are thrown into. Although it's often thought that only tall people have confidence and the ability to lead the others, don't be intimidated or embarrassed by other persons. Learn how to present yourselves with style so you know how to stand out among the crowds. However cliche it may sound, it's how you wear yourself, not what you wear, will change the way other people see you.
