Are there any ways to tell if you are pregnant without using a pregnancy test?

Hi Mamta,

There are few suggestive symptoms of pregnancy like nausea, vommitting,breast tenderness,liquid discharge from vagina etc but one cannot be sure about pregnancy unless beta-HcG is detected either in blood or urine pregnancy test.

How long should one wait before carrying out a pregnancy test?

Hi Mamta,

Urine Pregnancy test becomes positive after 7-10 days after the lady misses her periods. So ideally one should wait for about a week after missing periods & then do a urine pregnancy test.

Blood pregnancy test becomes positive very early & thus pregnancy can be detected on day periods are missed. But this is expensive hence couples prefer waiting.

Yes. Sperms are microscopic & can easily pass through clothes. Hence Latex is used to prepare condoms.

Hi Mamta,
Yes there are trials going on with male pills. One Male pill was designed in China but then it was found that it causes permanant Sterility & cannot be used for temporary contraception. hence was withdrawn from market.
