Well Ritul, One simple reason would be the start of weekend.

From Saturday weekends starts and that is the right time for the film to be released.

Now a days normal middle class audiences don't have much time to watch movies on weekdays.

Loads of money is invested in making a movie so the film maker wants that money to recover quickly and the best time is weekend to release movies.

And now a days movies are also released in multiplexes which help the movie to do good business specially on weekends.

The reason for Friday release, is due to impportation of movies as well as its trend from Hollywood.
In hollywood, movies were made to release on Friday, as their main aim was to entertain and people used to be free on Sat and Sun. So this trend continued.

The basic reason behind releasing the movies on Friday can be the fact that Friday marks the beggining of the weekend.And people would get more opportunity to watch the movie.
