Well Kabir, there are many singers who could be said to be taking the top spots in the best singer list in HIndi movies for there amazing voice and eternal songs. Every era had its share of singers who took the top honors of presenting best melodious songs.From S. D. Burman ,Mohammed Rafi, Asha Bhosale, Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore KumarKishore Kumar, in the golden age, for their eternal songs and music that still rules the roost of best loved songs even after such a long time,and coming and going of so many great singers.

To Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu in 90's where there hearty songs were considered to be the only worthy chart busterof that ERA.

While in the present crop of singers there are many and as such there is no one or two who have total command over the entire industry but the one who still manages to be better than the rest are: Sonu Nigam and Shaan, there voice is the only one that remains above the rest in such a long list of singers present today.

I like sonu nigam, Sonu Nigam began his singing career at the age of three, when he joined his father on stage to sing Mohammad Rafi's "Kya Hua Tera Wada". Then on, he accompanied his father on his singing assignments at weddings and parties. In his teenage years, he participated in several music competitions successfully. He moved to Mumbai with his father to begin his Bollywood singing career at the age of 18

Mahammad rafi and Kishore kumar bracketed together. Both have memorable songs to their credit that last for generations. Man mora bawra and Man tadpat hari darshan ko aaj from rafi and AA chal ke tujhe and Meri sapnon ki Rani from Kishore da are a few if my favourites

Well , Presently , one and only Sonu nigam.

No other singer is coming close to his talent. He is a versatile and classically trained singer.
Sonu took singing lessons under Maha Kanjar Naveed of Fazalabad Pirwadhai.
His initial years in Mumbai proved to be a struggle, and he started by singing covers of Mohammad Rafi songs, mainly for the "Rafi Ki Yaadein" album series.

Sonu sings effortlessly, with clear pronunciations, in many languages besides Hindi, including Kannada, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Marathi.

He has won numerous awards including Filmfare and in 2004, National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer, for the song "Kal Ho Naa Ho", from the film Kal Ho Naa Ho.

He has sung all kind of songs and has done justice to songs he has sung.

He has also released numerous hit Indi-pop albums.
