Who sang Mera rang de basanti chola from the film Shaheed?  

Way back in 1965, Manoj Kumar wrote and starred in Shaheed. Celebrating India’s 56th year of Independence, the veteran salutes his childhood hero, Bhagat Singh, the young martyr who walked to the gallows with a smile on his face.
Shaheed was a dream Manoj Kumar never expected to see on celluloid.

The situation of the song, sung by Mukesh, Mahendra kapoor and the ghazal singer Rajendra mehta"Mera rang de basanti..." is quite poignant and touchy.Bhagat singh ,Shivram Rajguruand Sukhdev sing this song filled with patriotic overtures with glee and joy least caring about the death sentence they were awarded. This was picturized on manoj kumar,Prem chopra a nd Anand kumar in the film Shaheed,produced in 1965 and directed by S. Ram Sharma .

Well Aryan , the great patriotic song was sung by MUKESH, MAHENDRA KAPOOR, RAJENDRA MEHTA.

It is indeed a great patriotic song.

Shaheed was based on the life of Bhagat Singh.
Manoj Kumar did the lead role in the movie.

Music director of the movie was Prem Dhawan
