Well Kabir, the original showman Raj Kapoor who changed the way cinema was perceived in Indian film industry and gave the industry a long list of actors(most from his own family), singers, musicians, technicians etc. who performed in his films made by his legendary R.K. studio.
In his long list of movies that he produced, directed or acted the best in my opinion is Jagte Raho, this movie about a poor villager (Kapoor) who comes to a city in search of a better life. However, the naive man soon becomes trapped in a web of middle-class greed and corruption is in my opinion one of the best portrayal of a character in Indian film industry, and is totally in sync with the conditions of that time, when in reality the poor had nowhere to turn too. And for this movie only he was for the first time nominated for a Film Fare award.
