In Movie Anand amitabh bachhan acted opposite rajesh khanna and bagged the award for best supporting role from film fare, and again in Namak haraam he played with Rajesh khanna and bag the award.

Amithabh bachchan first acted with rajesh khanna in Anand is a hindi film written and directed by Hrishesh mukherji and released in 1971. The film won 6 six filmfare awards including best actors, supporting actors won by Rajesh khanna, Amithabh bhachchan. Amithabh bachchan was not so famous actor then and Rajesh khanna was a super star but after a movie Amithabh got some fame.

After Anand they both acted in movie Namak Haram which was also directed by hrishesh mukherji and composed by R.D. Burman

the film focused on two friends ( Rajesh and Amitabh) and how Rajesh tries to infiltrate the trade union of his friend

but after doing these movies they never worked again, cause Amithabh got huge fame and becoming super star and he was becoming bigger than Rajesh khanna so Rajesh had complex with him.

Well, Both the superstars acted for the first time in the movie "Anand" in the year 1971. Again in 1974 they appeared in "Namak Haram".

In both the movies Rajesh khanna was awarded filmfare best actors award where as Amitabh got filmfare Best supporting actor award.

After "Namak Haram" they never acted together.
