Well Kabir, the third installment in highly successful franchise of Munna bhai that really changed the way movies were made and perception about mafia was established.

The kind of Underworld Bhai, Munnabhai portrayed was totally phenomenal and path breaking in its own right. But as per the information coming from the inside sources and also the own admission of Hirani, the work for this installment is yet to be started , as he is busy in making his movie Idiots, which is in Pre-production and is slated to be released in early 2009, while the work for third installment would begin only after finishing this movie, and no dates have been set uptill now.

Munna Bhai Chale Amerika (Munna Bhai goes to America) is an announced Indian musical comedy directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It is the third part of the popular Munna Bhai series of Bollywood which stars Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi.


Production
"The idea to take the two characters into the US first arose when director Raju Hirani saw Sanjay and Arshad Warsi sitting together in a golf-cart in the US. The thought of two 'bhais' being transported to the US took Hirani's fancy. When Sanjay Dutt came to know about this idea, he liked it very much and asked Hirani to make a film on it. That is how 'Munnabhai Chale Amerika' was conceived." [1][2]

Production of the film was disrupted after Sanjay Dutt's conviction in July 2007.
