Voldemort is the Dark Lord who kills Harry's parents. Harry grows up to be a good wizard and vanquishes him.

The fact that Valdemort couldn't kill Harry when he was a baby. It was shown in the first one when they were in the bar with Haggrid. Dumbledore explained it later on as well. It made Valdemort so mad, he's had it out for Harry ever since. Then, in the later books, Valdemort needed Harry's blood to make him into a human again. Hope this helps!!
they share the same blood and also the same type of wand. After Voldemort killed Harry's parents a connection was made between them as Voldemorts spell left a scar on Harry's forehead but failed to kill him. Voldemort can also control Harry's mind which leaves him with terrifying dreams.

It's not really obvious from watching the first couple of films to be honest. It all comes clear towards the end of the last book... sort of!

The connection is harry could sense and feel the thoughts of Valdemort.(Not Valdemore)

I think that is the connection. He wasn't able to kill Harry.
