Mahek, I feel these days Direction is more on divided between many people associated with the movie.
There many subject which are already used and people want to see more and more new ideas in movies, hence there is a chance where people will find two movie alike.

Many Directors like to work alone on the project but still many of them keep assistance that help around. So the ideas can get mix match and we start thinking that the movie is copied from the west.

In past Directors had only acting to direct so the whole concentration was on acting of actors. In today’s times directors need to see many things such as animations behind the scenes after the scene is completed and send for animation. Friction movies require much work even after the scene or movie is completed. So one should not ploy it to copy as it can be a co – incidence as well.

Hence in today’s time Directors are working very hard to cope up with the amount of competition involved.

Well Mahek, mindless copy of anything is never appreciated and never bear desired result as the history has taught us.

But, unfortunately time being howsoever good a teacher failed to make any dent in the psyche of Bollywood's directors. Again and again they try to make movies based upon the already tested matters, but failing to understand the basics of the movie making makes their copied venture totally unworthy to watch.

Originality and knowing the nerve of general populace are the buzzword that decides the fate of the movie for it being a milestone venture, or total crap. And here most director and producer are failing and this trend apart from some new directors who are willing to expand the horizon is looking to depressing.

It is unjustified on bollywood part to copy hollywood films and take credit for all the hard work that the original filmmakers would have made on their film.
If Bollywood really wants to copy the Hollywood scripts then they should take proper permission from the Original Filmmakers in Hollywood and pay them the desired compensation for it.
On one side bollywood industry are protesting against piracy and on other side they are themselves involved in the Privacy.

hello mahek i say it is mindless to copy such films ...as the budget they use ...tricks...techniques and also the story line they take ...and work very hard for output ....put here in bollywood ...or in india we are not developed in taking films like jurrasic park , titanic etc ....we have to develop a lot for such....and we must not dare to copy such heavy films also ....it looks mindless only

I THINK IT IS JUSTIFIED IF THE DIRECTOR ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE HOLLYWOOD VERSION WAS AN INSPIRATION FOR HIM . ON THE OTHER HAND COPYING THE MOVIE SCENE BY SCENE IS STUPID AND SHOWS THE DIRECTOR'S CRIPPLED ABILITIES

The word BOLLYWOOD signifies the feel of B-grade Hollywood films in modern times. Every second or third film is an inspirational lift of Hollywood film and it’s a pity. How can big stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan agree to work in a film like GOD TUSSI GREAT HO.? The film is copy of BRUCE ALMIGHTY and likewise there are hundreds of films that are copycats of Hollywood hit films. David Dhawan’s PARTNER faced the wrath of Hollywood as Sony Pictures sued the picture as it w as copy cat of their film HITCH. The story does not end here as now films from Korea are also lifted in our Hindi films. Korean film MY SASSY GIRL was copied shamelessly in UGLY AUR PAGLI but film failed and similarly OLDBOY was copied as ZINDA in Bollywood with poor results. It’s a shame that in a country of more than 125 billion people, there aren’t good creative writers. It’s a state of creative bankrupt ness that is crippling the fidelity of quality work in our film industry.

This is known as "Thought Bankruptcy ." Our producers and Directors are 3rd rated. That's why they copy Hollywood.We should not blanme the Bollywood industry. We should be blamed for the rot. We being fools watch them. Producers will be encouraged by the success of the picture. They produce another plagiarised movie from Hollywood.

When there is a wealth of brilliant writers, how this act of plagiarism can be termed as "Justified?"

I thnk no this is just an insane act of copy pasting, there movie y not creativity they do with there own mind, our bollywood ppl make there movie crazy and today we see out 10 picture releases in bollywood 3-4 movies are copy if hollywood.

Well Mahek , I agree with you to some extent.

Our Bollywood movies are being copied from Hollywood movies.
But It would not be fair to say we are copying mindlessly.
Hollywood movies are also inspired and copied from other languages movies.

We also have Film makers who make original movies.

I can give examples too which can prove that we are on par with Hollywood.

We have the best actor in the world Amitabh Bacchan.

We have shahrukh Khan and Amir Khan who are great actors .

We have Hrithik who is better than most of the Hollywood actors.

We have actors , directors who were and are famous through out the world.

We had Raj Kapoor , Satyajeet ray ( oscar winning director), Sanjeev Kumar, Naseruddin Shah, Om Puri , Anupam Kher and many more who can do any kind of role in any kind of movie.

Bollywood films cant be compared with Hollywood movies .

We have our own tradition and culture.

Movies like Hum aapke hain kaun , DDLJ, Lagaan , Sholay ,Swades and many more reflect our rich culture.

I feel bad when movies like murder , fareb etc are made ( remakes of Hollywood movies)

I felt proud when our "Munnabhai MBBS” is being remade in Hollywood.

We can also make movies which have a world audience.

Bollywood is also making Sci -fi movies . Dhoom -2 ,Koi mil gaya are some great example. So we are nor far behind in making hi - tech movies.

Bollywood is on par with Hollywood .

We make movies for our audience and that is best thing about our film Industry that is bollywood.
