Well Kabir, even though almost all of us know the fact that movies are fictitious and the story and reality effect it presents is more due to strong script, direction and acting. But, despite all that the effect we feel is almost always surreal from good movies and if they are horror then its like oil for fire.
And, for the movie situation that if became real the worst nightmare in my opinion would that be off:
beyond doubt Psycho, this 1960 movie didn't had any supernatural character and this was in my opinion the strongest horror point of the movie, as in almost all supernatural flicks with howsoever good direction or make-up there was always a kind of surreality in it. WHile, this movie brought the terror way to closer : to human Psyche , something totally possible and in lesser extent already on display.
Thus in my opinion this Alfred Hitchcock's shocking masterpiece, starring Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh, would be the worst nightmare if turned in real life.
