Well , For me It is Bollywood and only Bollywood.
Bollywood is better than Hollywood.

Bollywood has better talent than Hollywood and I am not saying because I am an Indian.

I can give examples too which can prove that we are on par with Hollywood.

We have the best actor in the world Amitabh Bacchan.

We have shahrukh Khan and Amir Khan who are great actors .

We have Hrithik who is better than most of the Hollywood actors.

We have actors , directors who were and are famous through out the world.
We had Raj Kapoor , Satyajeet ray ( oscar winning director), Sanjeev Kumar, Naseruddin Shah, Om Puri , Anupam Kher and many more who can do any kind of role in any kind of movie.

Bollywood films cant be compared with Hollywood movies .

We have our own tradition and culture.

Movies like Hum aapke hain kaun , DDLJ, Lagaan , Sholay ,Swades and many more reflect our rich culture.

I feel bad when movies like murder , fareb etc are made ( remakes of Hollywood movies)

I felt proud when our "Munnabhai MBBS " is being remade in Hollywood.
We can also make movies which have a world audience.

Bollywood is also making Sci -fi movies . Dhoom -2 ,Koi mil gaya are some great example. So we are not far behind in making hi - tech movies.

Bollywood is on par with / better than Hollywood .

We make movies for our audience and that is best thing about our film Industry that is Bollywood.

There is no competition because they are at par. Hollywood is original in every way because their stories are from real lives of people, from novels, or even if it their figment of imagination it is done well like star wars etc. Bollywood is also great because no one can do the song and dance routine the way we do it. We all get inspired by Bollywood and make our movies. But some f them do a great job of copying. and copying of these movies is for the audience in India -the masses who don't get to watch the Hollywood movies. Thats why they are at par. Ultimately movies should entertain us.

It is like asking the child whose pet you are DADs or MOMs.
The child loves both likes both and hugs thenm both and wants them both.
Absolutely no comparison even.
Hollywood world wide recognised with universal viewership and in terms of money involved it is a MEGHA SHOW. They cant think of any picture with a small budget and their small budget itself may be 100 times that of boolywood(just off hand statement only to highlight the diff in general)
Hollywood can get any bollywood actor to play in any of their films but Bollywood cannot invite ANY of the hoolywood actors to act.
The Bollywood pictures cater to the Asian tastes customs and set songs to the hinsuthani music in general and could be enjoyed mostly by Indians and Asians but the Hollywood pictures are universal.
