I consider 'Dil Apna Aur preet paraya" as her best movie because of her display of extremely powerful histrionics in portraying two different parts of the character namely as a first love of the protagonist and as a jilted and suffering woman after her lover ends up marrying another woman. Both the parts of the story were enacted with aplomb by this tragedy Queen.When she sings Ajeeb dastan hai yeh... in the presence of her lover and his newly married wife, I could not contain my tears. Who can say so heart rendingly when she questions, "Yeh roshini Ke saath, Dhuan yeh kyon Charag se....? but meena kumari?
