Its just like opening of the pandoras box.Give all thepower and be held captive by the very same powers that one gave away.Its all pretty difficult to explain.After giving all the powers,how would you react,when u become dependent for certain minimum expenditure that you may like to involve in,and have to fill out the voucher to draw your own money,think twice before committing yourself would be the advice.

What is power of running the family? If she manages most of the affairs of the family, she is already the boss and the other one is yes boss. Then what more can be given? May be u mean financial powers. I am sure, if she is already managing everything, she must be savvy with money matters too. If not, then she should be consulted on that count too. There can only be beneficial results issuing out of it.So I think, one should share one's financial program with the wife.She would be more careful with spending, which u cannot expect when she is not aware of the financial cringes u face.
