I would go for the middle path. What I think is that in either cases the boy and the girl should know each other. In case of love marriage its understood that the boy and the girl have known each other but in case of arranged marriages I would suggest that the parents should give some time and let the boy and the girls share their feelings so that they do not face the embarassment of their childrens marriage breaking up because of them.

Marriage is not a option sneha ! And marriage should not be a option. unless and untill you are not sure that THIS is right person for you - you should not marry. I am not advocating love marriages but I am advocating LOVE and TRUST which is must in todays pressured living style.

Gone are days when our grandparents were married- those values exists no where now. We have changed a lot and from radio in a village now we r into radio/TV in cellphones.
Be it arranged or LOVE - only you should be confiden that person you are going to marryis what YOU need.

Love marriage is where you like the person but your family does not like.
Arranged marriage is where your family likes the person but you dont like.
Love marriage separates us from our family members and kills their happiness and only 2 will be happy in that marriage.
Arranged marriage bonds all our relations together and make them happy which in turn makes us to be happy and life long support is been provided.

So 100% arranged marriage is better with my own experience.

in my opinion arrange marriage is the better option but the couple should be given some tome after engagement to know each other as it helps in developing the understanding.
