You are very much right Sweta that during the first dating guy will always behave like a perfect gentleman and it will be difficult for the girls to judge whether he is flirting or serious. Just to check girl can take a step to hold him or his hand and be more open like, if he is really serious then he will tell the girl this is not good in the first meeting or before married. But if he is flirting he will hold /control his emotion for a while and after sometime will start his activities and will try to kiss the girl or hug her etc.

You can't judge a person completely during the first date. Neither a guy can judge you fully. Do not complete the selection in the first date itself. A better way will be to decide whether you would just like to continue the friendship based on the behaviour of the guy. In case you like him as a friend and a decent person, do take him as a friend with no commitments. Later in the course of your friendship, you will get to know what kind of a character he is. You can, then, decide.

Shweta u r definitely asking for something very difficult...rightly expected that every person wud try to act smart & decent in the first meeting.....It's difficult but not impossible to judge him....You need to pay heed to following things "though these are little issues but handy to judge the personality of a person's character..."
> Notice his approach to you...the way he deals with you.....
> Ask him about roses & what does the color of a rose symbolize...if he give correct answer...you need to be alert..(however this test doesn't solely prove that he is flirting with u...)
Notice the way he deals with other people particularly those who are low profile as compared to him like his behaviour with auto driver, waiter, rickshwa puller etc...A person who is good at heart wud never deal in a cheap manner....

Moreover flirting is something which one can easily recognize...you should be analytical enough to find out if he is flatterring you or is true to his words. you may also choose to appear in a manner not beautifull..let's check whether there is mere infatuation or something true in his heart...

it is not an easy thing to judge a person in first date. keep in touch with him/her, share feelings, ideas, thoughts but within a limit; in this way you can judge or understand any person.

It is difficult to judge a boy on the first date as he might obviously behave in a decent way. But this is not impossible. You may get a first hand impression of the boy on first date. And for that;

1. Be alert and keep your eyes, ears and good-sense vigilant.
2. Do not talk more than necessity. Listen him first.
3. If he insists on you to talk, tell him adroitly that you love to listen him.
4. Do not clean your breast by telling everything on that day. Keep something reserve for the next.
5. If at all you have to speak, tell more about your parents and other members of your family. That will help you knowing him. If he is interested in you and you alone, he would try to divert your talk from your family and show interest towards you. In fact, if a boy loves a girl in real sense of the term, he would be interested to know her family back ground. That should matter for him. In stead, if he is interested only with you, then it should be viewed from other angles also.
6. Do not sit very close to him, side by side. Preferably, sit face to face on first date. That would help you to talk eye to eye. Eye to eye talks give lot of signals and indications of both the boy and the girl, particularly in a maiden meet of the boy and the girl.
7. If your boy insists you to sit by his side only; do not discourage him. However, sit as he wishes, but keep a safe distance.
8. To know his motive and inclination, you may cast amorous sporadic ogle at him. But keep in mind that it is for a test only. Keep inflexibility inside.
9. Try to make the trip (date) as short as possible.

During the whole process, from preparatory stage to drop you home, you will know the boy if he is flirting or serious
