Being happy or not is interdependent to each other, boy and the girl.
However, to make a partner happy the other partner should appreciate and compliment for his/her feelings.

They should be. Sometimes, one partner compliments the other. If one is very shy, and the other one is apparently very outgoing and forward, the fate of the relation can be better than the normal ones, since the life goes out and balances itself in each step.

This may be true for many since we are always looking for ways to compliment our failures and shortcomings. Who would be better than the beloved to make sure that the romantic life doesn't spin off. I would assume such relations would naturally be mature ones!

If any one want to be happy then it will need some compromises after that happiness comes. Both boy and girl of opposite nature can be happy with their adjustment.
