Sex addiction is the behavior of a person who has an extraordinarily strong sex drive. His mind is predominated with sex and only thought of sex. Sometimes that continuous thinking may tend to interrupt his normal job.
Sex addicts, for their problems blame others. They dare to take risk for actulisation or accomplishment of sexual pleasure.
Sometimes they indulge in various types of sexual activities including illegal ones. However, sex addicts may not be necessarily the sex offenders.
Symptoms of sexual addicts.
1. Compulsive masturbation through self-stimulation.
2. Indulging in extra-marital affairs. Frequently engaging in more sex with more partners than intended.
3. Multiple or anonymous sexual partners and/or one-night stands (ONS)
4. Unsafe sex
5. Exhibitionism.
6. Being preoccupied with or persistently craving for sex; wanting to cut down and unsuccessfully attempting to limit sexual activity.
7. Thinking of sex to the detriment of other activities or continually engaging in excessive sexual practices despite a desire to stop.
8. Spending considerable time in activities related to sex, such as cruising for partners or spending hours online visiting pornographic web sites.
9. Neglecting obligations of own work.
10. Continually engaging in the sexual behavior despite negative consequences, such as broken relationships or potential health risks.
11. Escalating scope or frequency of sexual activity to achieve the desired effect, such as more frequent visits to prostitutes or more sex partners.
12. Feeling irritable when unable to engage in the desired behavior.
