if he is smart and cleaver then its no problem if u love him then its no problem if he loves u as much then its no problem u just have to think u can spend ur life with him or not? thats all and tell him about wedding if he say yes queakly then his love is true if he take time or change the topic or what ever then leave him

The First thing is don't commit before knowing each other.
The Second thing I guess you were looking for was the outer appearence.
May that time never come in your life that , you like some one & he does not like you just because you dont seem to be beautiful to him.
Now try to convience him that you do love him but can't commit anything ,coz my parents won't allow me.
Or tell him that I already have & affair & sorry for hurting his Sentiments.

If you really love him,then lloks donot matter,because you love aperson and his qualities.You cannot get evrything in life.Looks do matter but if you are getting aperson who really loves you will you leave him just because he has average looks.But be surre that is this real love or infactuation.
