Your girlfriend seems to be committed towards her parents and her love. When she weighed both she found the former as more appealing and has decided to leave you. But i am sure if you were loving each other then she might be facing a similar situation and might be thinking of something to reunite. But girls are seldom that rebellious and rarely go against the wishes of their parents and the society.
Anyway, if you both are again interested to unite then i would suggest you meet the conditions of her parents. First find out the causes that led to your rejection by her parents. And try to weed out those. You personally meet her parents and talk regarding your wishes. (Here i assume getting her back as marrying.) What do you mean by waiting long? Friend love and bird watching necessitates patience. And your impatience may not serve your purpose. So be calm and composed and approach the situation with a right plan. Her father might not agree with your view points but you'll have to convince him and win his golden opinion. Try to meet his conditions and also show how you can meet his conditions.
And if all persuasion fails don't go further and decide to start afresh. I am sure your past experience will guide you in choosing a right girlfriend and life partner for you. (If you think gf only to flirt, romance, visiting around and ... then no parents will allow. )
