You seem to be very confused between friendship and love. I know leaving a friend is tough too, but it was u who decided on the relation and should have expected such a behaviour from ur friend. Ur friend is within his rights to forget u to lead a normal life, just try to understand life from his angle. Selfish interest in others may ruin the life of all involved, and also think whether u r inclined to love ur friend as well. This seems quite complex to me.

Not to worried dear, many people do friendship to get you, so you don't worried about such people. surely it hurts when you loose some whom you thing is special for you. but what about that who was good with you just to get you.......time will heal all wounds...tc thanx

I think your best friend really loves you too much and as he does not want to disturb you and want you to be happy in your life he is sacrifing his friendship for the love. Really such friend you will find one in lakh and that too it is difficult to find such friend in this world. You should never forget such friends in your life ever.

It seems that you are in a limbo. As if u r standing on a line between desire and duty. Desire for your lover and duty to your best friend. You need to talk with your friend and give the actual reason of considering him as real good friend and tell him how much you need him as your friend for life. I think he may understand.
