Sometimes women understand better and able to help you to some extent. Jammy, to clarify your doubts on love and romance you can ask anybody whom you think proper to give you the proper answers.
However, he/she would tell you about love and romance as follows;
Love in broader sense is an impulsive element of instinct which comes with us at the time of birth. Infant, children, adolescents, youth, husband, wife, father, mother, grandpas, every body do have this celestial element of love. Therefore, love to each other is divine. It is nearer to God. Without love the world cannot exist.
But, love also has another dimension. This love exists between male and female, boy and girl. In this love angle, there is physical attraction, attachment and fragrance of sex. This love has link with romance.
However, romance has an individual meaning. Etymological meaning of romance is an instinctive spirit, enriched with sentiment, emotion, or a desire. But this desire is different from lust.

I would ask my close friends. These thing cannot be discussed openly with parents or any other relatives so friends are ideal as they are of the same age group and can uncerstand the situation better and guide you better. You can also ask your brother or sister or cousin if they are of the same age group and you are comfortable with them.
