u didn't tell whether u r a lawyer or a convict,u'r question is somewhat impossible to guess, ki hua kya hai?
jahan tak pending cases ki baat hai, u r not the only victim,bahut saare cases pending hai courts mein,u r within that only.

You have not specified what type of cases are pending. You should understand that the law provides equal oppurtunity to every person. In cases both the parties have been given equal opputunity of hearing. The cases cannot be decided only haering one party. Of course when one party is not appearing in Court to present his/her case the Court proceeds exparte against him/her. But even at later stage such party puts appearance and good sufficient reason for his/her earlier not appearance then Court permits such party further oppurtunity of hearing. These are technical side of Court proceedings. At times people think that the Court do not fucntion effectvely and cases are decided quickly.
In this connection I must point out that firstly the Courts are heavily burdened with work. Secondly Courts cannot decide the matter in mechanical and whimsical manner. Courts have to act judiciously and have to provide full oppurtunity to the parties to put their case and after considering all the facts and submissions Courts give their verdict.
To people it looks so simple but its a very difficult job and takes time.
However now the cases are decided in shorter span of time than the older days because various Forum, Tribunal have been formed to deal with different types of cases which has reduced the burden of Courts.
