Mere alcoholic will not be sufficient to prove cruelty. If under alcohol, he beats you, you may move suit for divorce on the grounds of cruelty.

After separation of 2 years you will have additional ground of desertion.

First make up your mind if you actually need a divorce or probably you can sort out things by talking. However if you have decided that you need a divorce then consult a legal profeesional for help.
