From a business point of view it wont be a great idea to start a beauty parlor in a rural area. Because firstly, people are not very concious of their looks in these places.2ndly people in these areas are always struggling to earn a living for food, it is not likely that they would spend on beauty services & products.

Since 75 crore people live in rural areas there is a vast scope , but it is not tapped corrctly. Good idea you will succeed in this area.

Altough there is limited scope for beauty parlours in rural areas but still with the growing economies people are becoming aware about fashion. Hence, Beauty parlours can be started in rural areas but with a low profile and the parlours will grow. With growing education, people coming to metros and Cinema rural people know about fashion and dressing sense and such parlours would cater to their needs.

In rural area you may need to give awareness for the beauty. Once you give awareness you can start beauty parlor in any of the rural areas. Most of them would not prefer to come for beauty parlor.

Beauty parlours can be started in rural areas not with pomp but on a sober level. Definitely there will be good scope and parlours will grow. Cinema tells rural people about fashion and dress and parlour can satisfy their needs.
