However, you can check to see whether the Insurance Institute of India has a certification matching your area of operation. Also, actuarial studies and risk assessment has been a key focus in the insurance industry of today.

It's good to have a professional license but then it is not mandatory.

By IRDA certificate you have a valid license or authorisation in insurance sector. By which you can develop yourself or place into any job related to insurance sector job.
