Hi Pooja,
Chimney plays a major role in our kitchen. It takes away all the smoke and keep our home environment healthy. You must install a chimney in your kitchen if it has less or no ventilation options. Okay we all know that it performs a great job but what’s about cleaning? Cleaning it is the most time consuming job specially if you have not done it for many month. Make sure you know How to take it from the wall and how to dissemble it. The job doesn’t require any technical skill but its a tiring one. Chimney’s are bulky so you can’t handle it alone. You need a partner to help you.
First remove it from power. After taking it from the wall just open just open its filter using a knob or a small switch. You will find oil droplets, dust and carbon inside it. You may use a normal soap solution to clean along with warm water. You may use a brush to scrub off stubborn dirt. In some chimney’s you may not remove the internal fans so you have to clean them within the compartment. You may use little kerosene oil too to remove the carbon particles.
For performing above tips make sure you really know how to reassemble its parts.
Its a physical tiring job.
