Certainly. Avoid sitting continuously for more than half an hourand even the act of getting out of the chair and going to another chairand sitting helps a lot.

No exercise is something which is done at a particular intensity to elevate and maintain your heart rate in your target heart rate zone for a specified duration of time.

Yes, it does substitute for exercise as you burn calories while walking and climbing stairs. but u should do properly exercise also that means tpoo much.
