Well it is always recommendable that after any surgery or something like that alcohol shd be prohibited atleast for a month or so.

Alcohol has no influence on the inguinal hernia and it surgery. Soon after surgery its is ofcourse not advisable to consume alcohol, and its better not to consume alcohol as it causes further damage to your body by damaging the liver.
