you can try to put some ice packs on her cheeks. But be sure and wrap them in a towel or something so it's not too cold. If it is really bad, the best thing to do is to call your dentist or doctor and ask them if they have any ideas or if they can see her.

i dont know about the healing , warm salt water maybe as a gargle but at her age would she know to wash her mouth out and not swallow that, call the doctor i would say.

I would go back to the dentist or go see a doctor and you could try giving her Ora-gel or another mouth painkiller or a baby aspirin for the pain until you can get there. You just have to let her trust you, eventually she will give in so you can help her.
