Body temperature - Why does it rise when you are ill?

it is basically the response of the brain t...o to the disease where thermostat system is disturbed and temp of boody rises...When we are ill our body temperature increases so that we can fight off PART OF OUR IMMUNITY....when we are ill our BMR increases & therefore body temperature....It indicates the presence of infection. When the body temperature rises, it means the body is working overtime
