"a document that has been seen" is a document issued by a country giving an individual permission to formally request entrance to the country during a given period of time and for certain purposes and usually stamped or glued inside of a passport, or sometimes issued as separate pieces of paper.

Ive had some responses that say one thing and some that say another, i just
need to know which visa means what and there entitlement from getting each one.
We're not looking at moving to the states for about 3 more years, and ive been
told to apply for a K3 visa yet others have said apply straight for a CR1. ...
