why does salman khan have to go to jail for a killing a deer? if you look around their are going to be thousands of people killing animals y can't they go jail.  

Salman Khan was convicted for killing a black buck because that particular specie was a endangered one, on the verge of extinction. Killing any other animal might not be that big a crime but killing an endangered specie is a punishable crime. That is why Salman Khan was convicted & hence being punished as well.

Salman had to go to Jail simply because he went and killed a Chinkara,which is protected by law as an endangered species.whose existances itself tommorow is a question.It could become an extinct species.Simply killing animals that are protected as an endangered species by Law is a crime.If we only hd hundred thousands of chinkaras there wouldnt be any law to protect this species.Becuase they are few in number ,we need to protect and conserve them Anybody who goes and does is worse than a criminal and need to be treated as such.
