earth completes one revolution around sun in 365 and 1/4 days which completes a whole day in 4 years so 1 day is increased every fourth year actually this time is approx only and real timeis slightly more than this and this time adds to one day in arounda millenium which is added as per the callculations

The earth takes 365 1/4 days to complete one rotation around the Sun, which we consider as one year. We usually take 365 days as one year. The remaining 1/4 day is added up and make one day every four years. So we add one day to the Leap year which comes once in four years!
