Parents and children can understand this problem and can sort out by communicating with each other. Parents should update the new traditions, fashion, etc., coming their way. And like wise children should follow old traditions respecting their parents.

this problem can be solved only by parents n children..
they must talk n express their feelings, desire or whatever they think to each other,
then only they can understad each other. to express their feelings to each other is only way

Brindging the gap. Try to understand the problems of the youngsters, try to be their friends than parents. Keep discussions open with them and be understanding.
