The extension of a competition dampens the spirit. A lengthy competition loses lustre  

but sometimes the lengthy competition helps you learn lot of things which a short lived does not...it all depends upon the type of competition we are into it....all competitons are not alike...

Naturally if any thing exceeds its time limit and in length it will lose its charm and even bores us along with losting its luster

That is True in every sense. But hope for a better side, in IBIBO, many r in high score in Silver, it's an opportunity for them to reach Platinnum, the sad thing is that they r involving in controversies which may degrade them. But money is not always the end of things, young blood boiling at dishonesty & injustice is a welcome sight.

Competition is the rivalry of two or more parties for something. Competition occurs naturally between living organisms which coexist in an environment with limited resources.
