mansi, has said it right that refridgerator cannot cool a room by keeping its door open because it becomes an open system. The energy(heat) when the fridge is closed is transfered from inside the refridgerator to outside of iot(that is in the room. But when you open the fridge door the energy(heat) keeps circulating in the the room so there will be no change in temperature. mansi is wrong in her saying that keeping door open will release more CFC...by the way refridgerators of today do not use CFCs anyways.

No. Your room cannot be cooled if you keep your refrigerator's door open. For that purpose you will need an air conditioner only. Apart from that reason always remember to close your refrigerator's door properly because the chlorofluoro carbons emitted from your fridge contribute in depletion of the ozone layer.
