Amitabh Bachchan debuted in the year 1969 in the movie Saat Hindustani. He played the character of a Muslim Poet and it was a supporting role in the movie. He also won the National Award for the Best, with Bachchan going almost unnoticed. Amitabh played the lead role, for the first time in his career, in Pyar Ki Kahani 1971, directed by Ravikant Nagaich.It was on the sets of B R Isharas Ek Nazar 1972
