small quantity of sugar in raita it tastes wonder full. bye and take care...It makes the soup tasty...to reduce acidity n enhance the colour n flavour of soup......who told u soups should be spicyNormally when we use tomatos in soup they has a tart tast which is not good so we use some sugar to give sweet and sour tast plus it is used to mild the tast of diffrent vegg in one. you can try
