What are some of the major disadvantages of the nuclear family?  

Not getting the love of Grand Parents, being unaware of the feeling and thoughts of being a part of a family..
That moral values that can be imparted to children only when they are in joint family and they have all the family members around themm. The list still continues....

In problems on family they have to face it alone..

They are not habitual of adjustment and spending time with their relatives...

Have their own lifestlye and less intereference...

Nuclear family misses the dependency and trust that builds automatically in a joint family system. Through thick and thin people get lot of mental and monetary support. Living jointly does not mean that just living under one roof and yet having unsympathetic attitude, it worsens the relations. Relationship should not be ostensible but genuine.

u save a lot.rent,food,electricity etc etc.if eight brothers are there and their parents alone if all of them join together they can achieve the world.

People become more & more detached. Children come to know only their immediate family, & do'nt even recognize their cousins.The nuclear family has an inherent lack of extended support system, instability and a vulnerability to economic stress.
