In the todays opportunities there is a lot of importance for accounting in India and also abroad provided with good salary packages. The percentage in 12th (commerce) is good. As they are commerce students they are pretty good to work on accounting grounds.

if they are interested and capable of going through CA,CS,ICWA cources which provide good salary packages in MNC companies today. You can check the opportunities available on Commerce and Accounting in
monster.com naukri.com timesjobs.com thes show the opportunities in MNC's

If interested in management then better to go for MBA with relavent specialisation in regular mode. This too has good opportunities depending on the specialisation's chosen.

There are many opportunities for commerce oriented courses to day with good package and nothing worry about. U can check the opportunities for the above desribed courses in the jobsite's given above
