What is the difference between a camcorder and a digital camera?

a camcorder is a movie camera, a digital camera is a stills camera. Most camcorders can take stills these days, and most digital cameras can take short movies. I would recommend a digital camera unless you want to film specific things. Digital cameras are much smaller andeasier to use....i think both are same that means a camcorder is also a digital camerabut as per the context camcorder
